| History Esperti Peterson Robert A. Esperti and Renno L. Peterson, nationally recognized estate and tax attorneys, are the most prolific estate and wealth strategies authors and educators in the United States. They have written 26 books in the field, half of which are multi-volume texts. Their books have been written for the public and for the professions. Esperti and Peterson have been educating and training professionals in estate and wealth planning for nearly three decades. In the early 1970's, they built the largest estate and tax planning law firm in the United States. Their practice was built on the understanding that working with life insurance agents and certified public accountants was fundamental to effective estate and wealth strategies planning. To create a steady flow of new business, Esperti and Peterson presented workshops to life insurance general agencies and certified public accountants. These courses allowed them to build their law firm quickly and efficiently, soon dominating estate and wealth strategies planning in the Denver metropolitan area and across the state of Colorado. In the early 1980's, continuing until 1985, they were asked by the American General Life Insurance Company to train their top agents in sales and marketing in the estate and wealth strategies marketplace. Under the training and tutelage of Esperti and Peterson, American General's highest producing agents increased their sales by over 250% in the year following their training. In the mid-1980's, Alexander Hamilton Life Insurance Company retained Esperti and Peterson to train their top agents. The Alexander Hamilton management team attributed their impressive growth in sales during this period of time to the training provided by Esperti and Peterson. So successful was the training that Alexander Hamilton sponsored and, in great part financed, the creation of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys. Esperti and Peterson, have launched the National Charitable Initiative, etc. In May of 2000, Esperti and Peterson entered into a joint initiative with Michigan State University, which is ranked as one of the most innovative educational institutions in the world in Internet training and the training of practicing professionals. The results of that initiative are The Estate and Wealth Strategies Institute and The Institute for Stewardship and Philanthropy Michigan State University Extensive information about MSU may be found at the "MSU Facts in Brief" web site. |
